The Association of Real Estate Developers of Lagos State (AREDOLS) has declared its support for all the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for various elective positions in next year’s general election.
The group said it believes that the APC’s presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima deserve the support of all Nigerians for the country’s top jobs because they are more qualified in terms of experience and education than the candidates of the other parties in the race.
At a well-attended event in Ikeja, Lagos, its chairman, Chief Adeniyi Lawal said: “It is the intention of our association to collaborate by evaluating the support of our members across the zones and branches, to canvass the electorate through our tenants across the state to vote All Progressives Congress (APC) at the polls in next year’s general election.
“In our view, the leadership of the party is affable and their emergence in the coming election will be in the interest of our state. Our association has structures across the state, with five zonal officers.”
Lawal said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is seeking a second term, has done well in Lagos in the last three and half years that he has been in office. The chairman said: “Together, let’s redefine Lagos towards greatness.”
General Secretary, Ahmed Babatunde Sanni also indicated that Sanwo-Olu deserves a second term because of his achievements in close to four years, particularly in the area of infrastructure. He listed transportation, housing, roads and education, among others as some of the areas that the governor has excelled.
